Labor Of Love

Exotica (4) 9 months is a long time. 18 months is twice as long and that’s how long the gestation period is for elephants. Coincidentally, 18 months is how long its been since Exotica was declared a perennial favorite of Beirut Drive-by. Welcome back Exotica!!!

  2. Exotics has had some amazing outdoor campaigns. I am wondering how well it is paying off - any ideas?

  3. I have no way of knowing how well Exotica's outdoor campaigns are paying off but I can tell you a few things. Exotica is the most well known in Lebanon and outside as well, especially to the Lebanese expats who not only like to send money back to Lebanon but show their love on special occasions. Exotica has consistently had very entertaining ads and this past year or so of what was perceived as not so great ads may have actually worked to their advantage. The online community tuned into each new ad campaign and reacted to each. How bad is that? It goes back to the old saying, "there's no such thing as bad publicity". How well is this paying off, you ask? Let's just say for Exotica, money does, in fact, grow on trees. :)

  4. I love the Concept, the line, but for me it fails in art direction.
A bald man is not the perfect match to " My son" figure, neither
a 65 old woman (white hair) is a good choice for an idol "Mom", she looks more like a healthy young "Grand Mother".

I would definitely prefer a young man (25-30) years old carrying his 55 old Mom in a dramatic funny way, trying not to drop her.
    Thanks. :)

  5. I think the ad is great, but Roy's suggestion makes sense, and would have an impact with the younger crowds, the ones that need to get that message more than older men who already have children and might have a slight idea of what it takes to be a parent...
