I have no way of knowing the cost of covering this building on 3 sides but Mango has been using this building for a very long time. It seems like a win-win for all parties. It's a prime ad location near rond point Dora and the owners of the building are generating income without spending any money on renovation. As is so often the case in Lebanese real estate matters, there certainly is a long list of named owners that either can't agree to sell or can't be reached to make it happen. The biggest winner in this deal happens to be the people of Lebanon who are spared having to look at this very ugly building when it's naked. I caught a glimpse once when they changed the banners, ugh!! Btw, we still miss Penelope Cruz!
